How I Found Cheap Joules Wellies (Just £17.50!)

I don’t very often write about individual bargains that I find but I was so pleased with this one I thought it would be good to do a post about it. Here’s how I got my hands on some cheap Joules wellies.
I love Joules clothing. I have a Joules coat which I’ve had for two years now and which I hope will see me through at least another five. It’s bright mustard yellow so you can’t miss me in it!

I also have a pair of Joules wellies which I love but I’ve been looking out for a second pair to keep as spare in the car and for when (or if) mine wear out. We go walking a lot, often in the Quantock hills but also on the beach. We were also given a National Trust Pass for Christmas which we’ve finally been able to start using now restrictions have been lifted.
My £17.50 Cheap Joules Wellies
My first pair of Joules wellies cost £40 from eBay as I bought them with a £10 off voucher which seemed like a bargain at the time. Joules have an outlet on eBay which is great for finding seconds or last season’s stock which is no longer being sold on the main Joules website.
However, I do often find it’s the smaller and bigger size, such as 3s and 9s that are being sold on there.
I had wanted to buy second-hand but had really struggled to find any in my size. I also ordered a pair that were brand new in their box from Vinted but the seller never posted them so I was refunded.

I think it’s because of my previous searches that this lovely pair popped up on Vinted feed one night. I’ve purchased a lot from Vinted in recent months and have really enjoyed using it as an alternative to second-hand clothing while the Charity shops have been closed.
These wellies were brand new with the tags and box and were being sold for just £15. And they were my size! I opted for 99p postage to my local Hermes collection point and paid around £1.50 in vinted fees. Brand new wellies direct from Joules are usually around the £50 mark although they do often run 20% and 25% discounts.
While I often put things on my Vinted wishlist, I knew on this occasion they would be snapped up pretty quickly so I bought them immediately. As I already had a pair in that size, I knew they would fit so there were no worries there. I was pretty chuffed with my cheap Joules Wellies and I know I’ll get loads of use out of them!

The reason I love Joules wellies is that they are really good quality. They are made from one piece of rubber (rather than two pieces being stuck together) meaning they are less likely to split which is something that often happens with cheaper wellies. My Mum used to get through several pairs a year until I bought some Wellibobs for Christmas which are barely even showing signs of wear, even though she uses them daily for dog walking.
Here are some ways to find cheap Joules wellies:
- Joules eBay Outlet is great for seconds and previous years stock, including cheap Joules wellies. Typically there is a combination of Buy It Now and Auctions, just make sure you don’t bid more than the wellies are worth (I’ve seen this happen on several pairs I’ve been watching!) You can also use eBay discounts (such as a 20% off voucher) when purchasing.
- Sign up for the Joules Newsletter and text alerts which will let you know when there are free postage offers and about other discounts and sales.
- Search for second-hand. I know not everyone likes to buy used shoes and that’s fine, but as this post shows there are often brand-new, still-in-the-box bargains to be found too. My favourite places for second-hand items are Facebook Marketplace, Vinted, Depop, Shpock and eBay. Look often as bargains are often snapped up quickly.
- Set up alerts on eBay so you’ll get notified if anything new is listed.
- Joules has outlet stores around the country.
- Combine any purchase online with cashback.
- Joules also sell wellies at John Lewis so it’s worth checking their website too, especially during sale season to if you can find some cheap Joules wellies.
One final thing I will say is that Joules wellies do run very slim around the calves, even with the buckle to adjust them.
I bought my Mum a pair last year and they had to be returned as she couldn’t get them on. I’m a size 12-14 overall and find them tight but not unwearable once they’re worn in.
