Have you been wanting to book a Center Parcs break but are waiting for the right time?

Want to know they ever have a sale?

Do you want to know when do Center Parcs reduce prices?

In this post, I look at the best times of year to bag a cheaper Center Parcs break.

I love Center Parcs. I’ve been on several family holidays there and even went for my Hen Do (do Center Parcs even allow hen dos? Find out more in this post).

Even though Center Parcs Longleat is only an hour away from where I live, it feels like a million miles away from the usual hustle and bustle of our day-to-day lives.

I love basking in the forest’s peace and tranquillity and especially taking time out to relax at the spa.

One thing I don’t love about Center Parcs, though, is the price.

It is not a cheap place to visit, especially during the school holidays.

When it comes to booking a Center Parcs break, I’m always torn between knowing it offers an amazing experience which I should be prepared to pay a bit extra to thinking we could go all-inclusive somewhere sunny for the same price.

My husband and I say outside the Pancake house at Center Parcs. We are bother wearing sunglasses.

Well yes.

We could.

But then there’s the cost of passports which none of us currently possess.

And getting to the airport.

So a holiday not far from home is pretty appealing.

Anyway, back to the question at hand.

When do Center Parcs reduce prices?

Well, if we’re being honest here the short answer is ‘not very often.’

The long answer is ‘probably even less often now due to more people holidaying in the U.K due to the cost of living crisis.’

When Is the Cheapest Time of Year To Book a Center Parcs Break?

First, let’s take a look at some of the cheapest times of year to book a Center Parcs Break.

Now, I’m not saying this is completely conclusive but I usually browse the Center Parcs website a couple of times a month in the hope of bagging a cheap break – we all need hobbies right?

So this is what I’ve generally found to be true but it might be worth considering other variables such as some schools having different half-terms.

September, November, January and February (excluding half term) are typically the cheapest months to go to Center Parcs on holiday.

The overall cheapest breaks tend to be Mon – Fri from either mid-November or the end of January through mid-February (before half term).

You may see the odd cheapish mid-week break at other times of year but the weeks on either side of half term tend to be pricey as many schools now have two weeks off.

Weekends are generally more expensive even though you get one less night, however, I’ve found March to be one of the cheapest times if you can avoid Easter.

Last time I looked I couldn’t find a weekend break for under £600, even during the cheaper winter months, and that’s only for three of us in the most basic accommodation.

When Do Center Parcs Reduce Prices? Last Minute Breaks at Center Parcs

Pre-covid, you could occasionally bag a cheap break if you were happy to book at the last minute as prices were sometimes reduced to fill cabins that hadn’t sold.

Typically Center Parcs runs at around 85% capacity in normal times so I’m not sure if this will be an option any time soon.

Another trick that could maybe help you bag a bargain Center Parcs break is to look for a lodge that sleeps more people than you need.

Sometimes a lodge that sleeps six would be cheaper than one that only sleeps two or four people.

This is worth looking out for and it means you could add more guests at a later date if you wanted to or could invited friends and family to join you for a night or two.

Center Parcs did recently offer some cheaper last minute breaks at their Worburn location for two nights only – these breaks weren’t available online and you had to quote a specific code.

It’s worth following Center Parcs on social media in case these types of offers become more frequent.

Can You Haggle With Center Parcs?

While you could try contacting Center Parcs directly to ask for a discount, it is very unlikely you would get one as the sites are often fully booked, meaning they don’t need to incentivise their customers.

If Center Parcs needs to change your accommodation (for example, due to damage or maintenance) then you might be able to negotiate an upgrade if their new offering doesn’t have the same facilities.

4 U.K Alternatives To Center Parcs

If you love Center Parcs but not the price tag, there are some other options you can try.

Most of these typically come in slightly cheaper than a Center Parcs break but of course, it will depend on the time of year, school holidays etc.

Bluestone Wales – Has a similar look and feel to Center Parcs and has similar facilities which includes a swimming pool and on-site restaurants.

Ribby Hall Village – Is in Lancashire, close to Blackpool. It’s a family-owned holiday village that has self-catering holiday units has as well as a hotel and spa.

Forrest Holidays – Have 11 locations in the U.K. While not all sites have the amenities as Center Parcs too, if it’s the ‘cabin in the woods with a hot tub’ vibe you’re looking for then they definitely have you covered.

Haven – While not quite as upmarket as  Center Parcs, some haven locations offer lodges with hot tubs complemented by onsite swimming pools and other family-friendly activities.

Is It Cheaper To Visit Center Parcs Abroad?

If you don’t want to pay the prices for UK Center Parcs, there is always the option of booking one of their many European locations including the Netherlands, France, Belgium and Germany.

These tend to be considerably cheaper but then there is the cost of travel, insurance and transportation to think about as well.

There is a Center Parcs not far from Disneyland Paris which would probably be my top choice for a European visit.

Book Early For A Small Discount

Center Parcs have recently been offering £40 off 2025 breaks with the code MY2025 – I have no idea how long this offer is running for but it’s worth taking advantage of if you were planning on booking anyway.

When Do Center Parcs Reduce Prices – Final Hints Tips

Time for some final tips as to how you can find cheap Center Parcs holidays or save some money when you do decide to book.

Taking Advantage of Center Parcs Come Back Soon Offer

If you’ve recently stayed at Center Parcs then you should be able to take advantage of their Come Back Soon offer which gives you £50 off your next break (although this can vary slightly between countries).

This offer also allows you to amend your break without penalty up to seven days before your arrival and gives a price promise – if you find your break cheaper you’ll be given the difference back or if you haven’t paid yet the price of your holiday will be adjusted to meet the lower price.

Sometimes this offer is made available even to those who haven’t recently stayed so it’s worth keeping an eye out for.

Teaming Up With Friends and Family

As Center Parcs lodges sleep lots of people, one way to save on the cost is to team up with friends and family and share the fee for a lodge for your stay.

Could you send me a brochure with 2024 prices please.
We are a family of 6 adults and an idea of cost for a week in April or May would be helpful.

Hi Joy – You’ll need to take a look at the Center Parcs website for the most up-to-date information on pricing which will also be affected by which Center Parcs you choose to visit.

        https://www.centerparcs.co.uk/

The cheapest time for a Center Parcs Break tends to be midweek, out of season such as November and January when a Mon – Fri break costs around £580. Midweek in May (not half term or bank holidays) is closer to £700.
