Love hunting for yellow stickers and bagging yourself a bargain? Here is my dedicated guide to Morrisons yellow sticker shopping.

Please note: Reduction timings, stock levels and product availability can vary between Morrisons stores and may change over time. The information in this article is based on my own shopping experiences and is intended as a guide rather than a guarantee.

Best time: After 5pm for the biggest bargains

If you’re looking for Morrisons yellow sticker reductions, the good news is that bargains can pop up throughout the day rather than at a specific time.

In my experience, Morrisons often carries out reductions at various points during the day, with some stores making further markdowns later in the afternoon or early evening.

I’ve often heard shoppers mention final reductions around 6 pm, but timings can vary significantly between stores and even from day to day.

Personally, I’ve found decent reductions at all sorts of times.

I usually shop after the school or nursery run, and I’ve picked up 10p raspberries and half-price meat between 8am and 9am. That said, some of these bargains may have been left over from reductions made the previous day.

One thing I like about Morrisons is that yellow sticker reductions can be found in several places around the store.

Reduced items are often left on the normal shelves, but many stores also have dedicated reduction areas.

My local store has a reduced fruit and vegetable section within the produce department (although softs fruits are with the meat and dairy reductions), while other reduced fresh items are usually gathered together in refrigerated sections elsewhere in the store.

There’s often a dedicated yellow sticker shelf in the bread and bakery section, too, which is always worth checking out for cheap bread to pop in the freezer.

Morrisons Hot Counter Reductions

If your Morrisons has a hot food counter, it’s worth keeping an eye on this as well. In some stores, hot counter items are reduced later in the day as closing time approaches.

I’ve seen items marked down to very low prices, although the timing and discounts can vary from store to store and these tend to get snapped up pretty quickly.

I recently picked up a half-price cooked chicken at 6 pm, which cost £3.30 and made for a nice, cheap and easy dinner!

Non-Perishable Morrisons Reductions

Some of my favourite Morrisons bargains have actually been on non-perishable items.

Morrisons occasionally makes huge reductions on products with long shelf lives. As you can see from the photos below, I picked up some items for just a few pence despite them still having plenty of time left before their best-before date.

In this case, I was able to donate them to a local food bank.

I can only guess that these reductions were due to excess stock, packaging changes or discontinued product lines, but they were incredible bargains either way.

My local Morrisons has a dedicated area for non-perishable reductions, but I’ve also found these items in promotional cages near the front of the store or, randomly, near to hot counter.

It’s also worth keeping an eye on shelf-edge labels.

Sometimes products are reduced without being moved to a dedicated yellow sticker section, with the discounted price simply shown on the shelf label instead.

My Top Tip For Morrisons Yellow Stickers

My biggest piece of advice is not to worry too much about finding the ‘perfect’ time to shop.

While some stores may have regular reduction schedules, I’ve found bargains at Morrisons at all times of the day. Often it’s simply a case of being in the right place at the right time.

The best approach is to get familiar with your local store, learn where they keep their reduced items and check whenever you’re shopping.

You never know what you might find!

Morrisons Yellow Stickers After Christmas

One of my favourite times of year for Morrisons yellow sticker reductions is the period between Christmas and New Year.

Many people have already stocked up for the festive season and tend to shop less during this period, which can sometimes lead to more reduced-price fresh food being available.

Over the years I’ve picked up some incredible bargains, including packets of king prawns for 5p and lamb chops for 16p.

Of course, every store is different and there’s never any guarantee you’ll find reductions like these, but if you’re happy to keep an eye out, the days after Christmas can be a great time for yellow sticker hunting.
