While Amazon Kids+ can seem expensive at £68 for the annual plan or £6.99 each month, it can be shared across up to four devices, making it much better value for money if you can share between several children.

Prime members also get a better deal with it costing £38 for the annual plan or £4.99 a month.

One thing to watch out for is that new Kids Fire devices often come with a year’s Amazon Kids+ subscription for free, which is then billed annually on your renewal date.

Amazon do not send any warning about the Kids+ subscription renewal so it’s worth making a note in your diary if you decide not to continue with it.

Deciding not to pay for an Amazon Kids+ subscription does limit some of the games children can play, so you might want to consider this annual cost when purchasing the tablet and weigh it up against benefits, such as the two-year warranty which gives protection against breakages.

One last thing to keep in mind is that Kids Amazon Fire tablets have limited storage space. Even if you’re paying for access to a wide range of games, the tablet may not have enough storage to accommodate all of them.

Although adding an SD card might seem like an ideal fix, it’s important to note that the extra storage can only be used for images and videos, not games.

2. Buy Cheap Referbed Tech From Amazon

Amazon Refurbished refers to products that have been returned, repaired, and restored to like-new condition before being resold.

Did you know that you can share Amazon Prime with someone living in your household? This is one of my favourite Amazon hacks.

While I’m sure many families use one another’s accounts already, Amazon now officially offer you the opportunity to add one extra person to your account, provided they live at the same address.

Creating an Amazon Household allows you to share Prime benefits with someone else – meaning that they can take advantage of free next-day delivery, for example, or access Prime Video.

Before we set this up, I was always asking my husband to order items for me to take advantage of free next-day delivery. Now I no longer need to do this and there is no additional cost.

4. Use Free Month Of Prime To Bag Black Friday Deals

Don’t fancy paying for Prime but want to bag the best Black Friday Deals?

If you’ve never used Amazon Prime before, or cancelled more than a year ago, you should be able to get a free month’s trial.

The best time to use this is in November, so you can grab Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals all across the Amazon site.

One of the problems with Amazon and many other online retailers is that it can be hard to tell whether or not you’re getting a good deal.
