Selling baby items you no longer need is a great way to make some extra cash while freeing up space at home – usually much needed once their crawling and walking around!
Whether you’re looking to sell baby clothes, toys, equipment or larger items such as prams and cots, there are plenty of places you can do so.
In this post, I’ll share the best places to sell baby stuff, both online and in person, along with some simple tips to help your items sell faster.
Where To Sell Baby Stuff
1. Sell Your Baby Stuff On Vinted
Best for: Selling items in bundles, high street brands and lots of quick, low-priced sales.
When selling your baby’s old stuff online, Vinted will always be my top pick.
The upload process is simple, the app is easy to use, and I’ve sold lots of my little boy’s old clothes this way.
If you don’t have a printer to print labels, you can choose digital-only options for your postage (see my guide: Can You Sell On Vinted With No Printer?).
When you sell an item (or bundle of items) on Vinted, you can either keep the money in your balance or transfer it to your bank account.
There are no fees when selling on Vinted, so you keep all the money you make.
Those buying on Vinted are typically looking for a bargain, so you might find it better to sell lower-value items in larger bundles, especially things like babygrows and bodysuits.
A £1 baby item might seem cheap, but when you add postage and fees, it can end up costing around £4 for the buyer.
A bundle of five babygrows for £3 is often much more appealing to buyers and means less packaging and fewer trips to the parcel shop for you.
How To Sell Baby Stuff On Vinted
- Group babygrows, vests and everyday clothing into bundles rather than listing these items individually.
- Include the size, brand and condition in your title to help buyers find your items.
- Price items slightly above the minimum amount you’d accept, as many buyers like to make offers.

2. Sell Baby Clothes On eBay
Best for: Selling baby clothes with no fees and selling higher-value items.
eBay recently changed its terms for private sellers, and there are now no fees when selling clothing.
They’ve also improved the upload process, which I personally found a bit clunky compared to Vinted and other online selling platforms.
Because eBay has such a large audience, it can work particularly well for branded baby clothes, toys and larger items of baby equipment.
eBay has also removed fees on many other categories, making it a good option for selling sleep sacks, toys and other nursery items.
How To Sell Baby Stuff On eBay
- Check completed listings before pricing your items to see what similar products have actually sold for.
- Well-known brands often perform better on eBay than cheaper supermarket clothing.
- Take clear photos of labels, sizes and any flaws so buyers know exactly what they’re getting.
3. Depop
Best for: Selling premium children’s brands such as Boden, Frugi and JoJo Maman Bébé.
Populae with Gen Z, another option for selling baby clothes and toys is Depop.
Items on Depop often sell for more money than they do on Vinted, which can be great if you’re selling higher-end brands or have genuine vintage baby clothing to sell.
However, there is a much smaller audience, so it may take longer for your items to sell and more time for you storing items you no longer need.
You’ll also pay selling fees, whereas clothing sales on Vinted and eBay are currently fee-free.
How To Sell Baby Stuff On Depop
- Include the brand name in your title, as many buyers search for specific labels.
- Use bright, clear photographs and show the item from several angles.
- Be patient, as items can sometimes take longer to sell than they would on Vinted or eBay.
4. Sell Baby Stuff On Facebook Marketplace
Best for: Selling bulky baby items with no fees.
Facebook Marketplace is one of the best places to sell larger baby items such as cots, prams, bouncers and highchairs.
Typically, you’re selling to people in your local area, meaning buyers are often happy to collect items themselves.
Many towns also have dedicated baby and children’s buy-and-sell groups, which can help your items reach the right audience more quickly.
It’s worth remembering that buying and selling on Facebook is largely unregulated, so you’ll need to stay alert for scammers and be aware that there is a tendency for people to mess you around or turn up when they say they will.
How To Sell Baby Stuff On Facebook Marketplace
- Include plenty of photos, especially when selling larger items.
- Clearly state whether the item is collection only or if you’re willing to deliver locally (you can ask for petrol money if you would like)
- Never hand over an item until payment has been received.
5. Sell Baby Stuff At Mum2Mum Markets
Best for: Reaching a captive audience of parents and parents to be.
Mum2Mum Markets are a fantastic place to sell baby and toddler items.
Although you’ll need to pay for a table, you’ll be selling directly to parents who are actively looking for baby bargains.
Unlike a car boot sale, everyone attending is there specifically to buy children’s items.
Price your items sensibly, and it’s possible to make £100 or more during an afternoon while clearing a lot of clutter from your home.
You could always donate anything that doesn’t sell after the market, meaning a big hit of decluttering all in one go.
How To Sell Baby Stuff At Mum2Mum Markets
- Price everything before the event starts.
- Bring plenty of change and carrier bags.
- Offer discounts when buyers purchase multiple items.
6. Sell Baby Stuff At Car Boot Sales
Best for: Getting rid of lots of items at once.
Car boot sales can be a great option if you have a large number of baby items to sell.
They’re usually inexpensive to attend and allow you to clear out more than just baby items.
That said, most people at car boot sales are looking for bargains and may try to negotiate on price.
You’ll also need to factor in the early start and the effort involved in setting up your stall.
Boxes of 3 for £1 or 50p per item usually do well at car boot sales, people can rummage and find items they like.

- Organise clothes by size so shoppers can browse more easily.
- Expect buyers to negotiate and leave a little room in your pricing.
- Bring plenty of coins and small notes for change.
Other Places To Sell Baby Stuff Online
There are a few other places where you can sell your old baby items online, including Shpock, Gumtree and Preloved.
While these platforms can be useful, they generally don’t have the same audience size or ease of use as Vinted, eBay or Facebook Marketplace.
General Tips For Selling Baby Stuff
Whichever platform you choose, these simple tips can help you sell your baby items more quickly:
- Take clear photographs in good natural light and avoid using filters, as they can distort colours.
- If you’re listing items on multiple platforms, remember to remove them from the others once they sell to avoid cancellations and negative feedback.
- Always be honest about the condition of your items and, if in doubt, choose a lower condition rating, especially on Vinted.
- Bundles often sell better than individual items because buyers only need to pay postage once.
- Wash clothing before listing and present items as neatly as possible.
- Include measurements for larger items and branded clothing where relevant.
