Items Gifted For Inclusion

Knowing what to get your loved ones for their birthday can be tricky. Even if you know someone really well and care for them deeply, it’s not always obvious what the best gift would be, especially if they are one of those people that already have everything. Here are some easy stress free birthday gift ideas to hopefully give you some inspiration.

There is an eight-week period from mid-May until Mid-July where we have a ridiculous number of family birthdays.

And it’s not distant aunties or old friends we can just send a Facebook message to, oh no. It’s close family, including but not limited to, both my Mum and Dad, myself, my daughter, twin nieces, my brother-in-law and sister-in-law, two cousins my husband is really close to, and my best friend Craig. Plus, Father’s days usually fall in the middle of all this.

While it’s lovely to be celebrating so often, seeing everyone for a good old knees up and feeling grateful this all falls in the summer, it can be a lot of mental load too, with the relentless need to buy gifts and cards and balloons and flowers and so on.

So, I’ve put together a few ideas for stress-free birthday gifts.

1. Cash

Who doesn’t love some cold hard cash as a birthday gift? I know many people can be cautious about giving money – there is always the possibility it will end up getting spent on bills rather than the recipient themselves – but it can also mean the person you love gets to splurge on something they love, totally guilt-free and that’s always going to be a win in my eyes!

If you’re worried about how to present the money, this post has some ideas for making it a bit more interesting than just giving notes in a card.

2. Gift Hamper

Gift hampers always make a great gift, and while you can make your own, that can often take lots of time and effort and we’re looking for stress-free here!

Pink hamper box with the contents of prosecco, a bath bomb, chocolates and a facemask around it.

I love these birthday gift hampers which contain a range of lovely gifts including chocolates, prosecco, a bath bomb and a face mask and have free delivery meaning you’re all done in just a few easy clicks.

I also like that it comes in a giant cardboard box which could easily be reused for storage.

Subscription Boxes

Subscription boxes can be a great way to send the birthday guy or gal something fun and unique without having to put in too much effort.

And if you’re worried about the cost of doing this, many subscriptions come with a three or six-month option as well as a year-long one.

Subscription box ideas include:

  • Baking Box
  • Kids Craft Box
  • Foodie Box
  • Craft Beer
  • Gin Subscription
  • Chocolate tasting

There are loads of different ones available, simply search online for what your recipient likes and go from there.

4. Restaurant Vouchers

Who doesn’t love a night off from cooking? I think restaurant vouchers make a great gift, especially for younger families that might not be able to afford to eat out too often.

It can also be a lovely way to support a small business rather than spending money with a big chain. Even if you live a long way away, if you know the name of your recipient’s favourite pub or restaurant, give them a call – most will be happy to take payment over the phone and either email or post a voucher on your behalf.

5. Stress-Reliving Gadget

I know these are supposed to be stress-free gifts, but how about a gift to make the recipient’s life less stressful?

This could be anything from a slow cooker to help make meal times easier to a massage gun to help them relax after a busy day at work.

Do you have any stress-free gift ideas to add to this post? I’d love to hear about them in the comments!
