To find the cheapest flights to Ibiza, you’ll need to book your tickets around three months in advance, although you may want to look a little earlier if you’re booking during the school holidays or over the Christmas period.

- The cheapest flights to any destination tend to be on either a Wednesday or Sunday, so if you can get your holiday to work for these days then you should save money.
- Use a flight comparison website such as Skyscanner.
- Compare package holidays against booking flights and hotels separately yourself.
- Check flights from different airports although do be mindful of any additional travel costs outweighing savings made.

How To Save Money On Hotels In Ibiza
When you’re trying to save money on hotels, it can be tempting to go for the cheapest right from the start.
But if the hotel is truly awful then you might end up paying more to stay elsewhere or being out and about all the time and both of these could end up costing you more money.
There are also other factors to consider, such as whether you want to get out and explore the island. For this, there would be the cost of hiring a car involved but you could opt for a hotel further inland which would be cheaper.
Or is it better to spend that money on a beachfront hotel, such as the Invisa Es Pla in San Antonio where everything, including a beautiful beach, is right on your doorstep?
Are you happy to pay a little bit more for a child-free hotel? I love my children but sometimes an adult-only break is needed!

There are lots of factors that come into play when we look at whether food and drink are expensive in Ibiza.
First of all, the big tourist areas are always going to be more expensive for food and drink. Head to a smaller town or more secluded area though, and you’ll find prices are much more reasonable.
If you’re looking for cheap and cheerful food then there are always plenty of fast food restaurants to be found in the bigger towns, including Burger King and Mcdonald’s where a standard Burger, Chips and Drink meal costs around €10.
While in Ibiza you can expect to pay around €7 for a beer and €5 for a glass of wine. Cocktails typically come in at around €12.
Is All-Inclusive Cheaper Than Self-Catering?
Personally, I am a big fan of going all-inclusive on holiday abroad, especially if travelling as a family or in a big group.
While self-catering is typically cheaper if you have kitchen facilities at your accommodation (such as a fridge and cooker) there is also the hassle of finding somewhere to eat each night and having to go food shopping a couple of times during your trip
Benefits of all-inclusive include:
- You can usually eat three good-sized meals each day and all-inclusive buffets mean there is a good choice of food, perfect if there are fussy eaters in your party.
- If you lose your wallet or debit card, you know you can still eat and drink well for the rest of your holiday.
- Many hotels offer a choice of restaurants on all-inclusive packages so the food doesn’t become samey.
- Family-friendly all-inclusive hotels typically provide drinks and snacks by the pool which means children aren’t constantly asking for money for treats.
- Knowing that your food and drink are already paid for can help you budget better for your holiday spending money.
Of course, one of the downsides to going all-inclusive is that it does mean you are fairly tied to your hotel each day, so there may be less scope for doing excursions and other trips if you want to get your money’s worth.
How To Save Money On Holiday Activities In Ibiza
The island of Ibiza offers a huge range of activities but is probably best known for its huge club scene. Entry to nightclubs usually starts at around €20 but could be as much as €90.
It’s worth researching the clubs you’d like to visit before your trip and seeing if there are any discounts for purchasing tickets in advance or buying a combo deal that gets you entry to several different clubs.
If you’re happy to start the party early, then many clubs offer a discount if you arrive before a certain time. Daytime parties are another great way to have fun on the cheap, as are boat parties which often include drinks and can be purchased alongside nightclub entry for a discount.
Finally, if you’re planning on spending your nights partying, you’ll want to fill your days up with lots of free activities. Ibiza has several UNESCO world heritage sites as well as miles of beautiful beaches, perfect for relaxing in the sunshine.

- May and September are typically cheaper as they are not considered peak season but the weather is still warm enough for an enjoyable break. You’ll also be able to take advantage of amazing opening/closing parties on the clubbing scene.
- Don’t forget to book travel insurance so you’re not out of pocket if anything goes wrong on your trip.
