Are you looking for some cheap stocking filler for kids? Here are some fun ideas all for £2 or less.
Sometimes it can be tricky to find stocking fillers that don’t cost the earth, especially as children get older and prefer more expensive gifts.
Smaller, more expensive items can also feel as though they just don’t fill up the stocking in quite the same way, especially if there are younger siblings who have bulkier items.
I’ve put together this list of cheap and (mostly) bulky stocking fillers that should help to round out stocking nicely without spending too much.
These items should all be easily found last minute too – there is nothing that needs to be ordered online and could take weeks to arrive.
1. Pringles
Pringles make a great stocking filler, especially for those who love their snacks with the bonus of being bulky if you need to fill a large stocking.
Children and teenagers alike will appreciate having a tube all to themselves and not having to share it with anyone else!
Price-wise, Pringles are usually between £1.50 and £2.50 a tub but there should be plenty of offers in the run-up to Christmas.
For example, Morrisons recently had them at £1.25 per tube with a more card.
2. Blue Tack
Kids love Blue Tack, mostly because it’s tactile, malleable, and pretty fun to play with – I’ve bought some for my daughter’s stocking this year, and I think she’ll love it. I’ve also bought some for my brother who works with children as I figured it would come in handy for him too!
Branded Blue Tack costs around £1 (I bought mine in Home Bargains for 89p) but you can also purchase non-branded white tack for as little as 39p.

3. Party Rings
A kid’s party classic, Party Rings make a cheap yet bulky stocking filler. They can usually be purchased for under £1 but special offers may see them go as cheap as 50p.
My six-year-old is going to love seeing a whole packet of these peeping out of her stocking on Christmas morning!
4. Oreos
Not a fan of party rings? Oreos are another biscuity option that can help bulk out your child stocking on a budget.
5. Terry’s Chocolate Orange
I’m going to be honest, I would much rather have a chocolate orange than a real one in my stocking.
There are even some new non-orange flavours this year, meaning those who prefer milk, dark or mint chocolate can still enjoy the feeling of smashing open their orange and enjoying each of the segments.
6. Bubble Bath
Now, I know that not everyone likes to buy their children what some would consider ‘essentials’ as Christmas presents.
But I have no issues with gifting these items from us as parents or from Father Christmas as long as they are getting some toys as well.
Every Christmas I get each of my children some Matey Bubble Bath to go in their stockings.
7. Bath Bombs
Kids love bath bombs and they don’t need to be expensive ones to be good fun. I like the range in Primark and was lucky enough to find some in November reduced to just 50p each.
8. Post-It Notes
I think that post-it notes make great little stocking fillers – my favourite are these name letter ones from B&M Stores which cost just £1.50.
9. Character Plasters
Character plasters are a fun little addition to any stocking – children can save them for when they are needed or they could be used for playing doctors with their toys.
For my son, I bought these Bing Plasters from Morrisons for £2 and for my Daughter, I got LOL Doll plasters from Poundland for £1.25.
10. Fluffy Socks
Fluffy socks are a great way to fill up a stocking for children of any age but are also perfect for teenagers too. And discount them as being a girly item – boys often appreciated them just as much as they like to have warm toes too!
Fluffy socks can be purchased for as little as £1 from places like Primark, Poundland and Home Bargains.
