Easy Sainsbury’s Vouchers Hacks
This post may contain Affiliate Links
While Sainsbury’s isn’t the cheapest place to shop I still really like picking up some of my groceries there. The fresh fruit and vegetables and meat are all really great quality and seem to last well.
Here are a few hacks to get extra Sainsbury’s vouchers to use when shopping at Sainsbury’s.
Easy Sainsbury’s Vouchers Hacks
First up, make sure you’re signed up to a Nectar card. While I would never advocate shopping somewhere just for the loyalty points, it’s definitely worth having if you are a regular Sainsbury’s shopper.
Even if you’re not, points can be collected on petrol and online shopping at places like eBay so it’s worth having one just in case.
When you register your card online, make sure you opt into marketing emails and letters. I regularly get money off vouchers to Sainsbury’s in the post – usually £2-3 off a £20 shop.
While that doesn’t sound like much I can easily make a meal for that amount so to me any saving is a bonus if I’d be spending that amount anyway.
Get Sainsbury’s Vouchers Before You Shop (instead of after!)
Another tip is to see if you can get some money off or extra nectar point vouchers before your shop.
Takes a little bit of effort but might be worth it for potential discounts/extra nectar points.
Before doing your main shop, grab one small item from your list and head to the self-checkout to pay for that one item, scanning your Nectar card at the same time.
This should trigger any offers that you’re due and you’ll get the vouchers at the start of your shop rather than at the end.
The thing is, when I get those till spit Vouchers at the end of my shop, rather than at the beginning, I often don’t end up using them. They go out of date or the offers will be for things I’ve already bought which I won’t need to buy again for a while.
Take a look at the Nectar App
If you’re looking to boost your Nectar points as well as save money, it’s also worth checking the Nectar App before you shop.
Nectar has recently had a bit of a revamp and although it works pretty much the same, lots of points-boosting offers are now on the app and you have to opt into them for them to be added to your Nectar card.
Save when shopping online
When shopping online at Sainsbury’s they almost always have a voucher for £18.00ish off of your first £60 shop which is a pretty decent saving.
Other Ways To Save Sainsbury’s
Money off vouchers aren’t the only way to save money when shopping at Sainsbury’s – I have a whole post dedicated to that here – Save money at Sainsbury’s.
Are you looking to get money-off vouchers for other supermarkets?
Of, course Sainsbury’s isn’t the only place to offer money-off vouchers, plenty of other supermarkets have them too. I find that Lidl Vouchers and FarmFoods Vouchers are the most lucrative for me. I also love Couponing in all its forms – including a bit of Extreme Couponing. which includes using brand vouchers and shopping apps as well as dedicated supermarket vouchers.
