Freezer Garlic Bread

Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 2 minutes
Servings 4

Ingredients

  • 4 Leftover / Stale bread slices
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 2 Garlic cloves crushed (or 1tsp garlic puree)
  • Herbs to taste (fresh or dried) I like to use fresh parsley but dried herbs work well too, especially Italian mixed herbs

Instructions

  • Make the garlic butter - melt the butter until soft using short 10 second blasts in the microwave. Add the garlic and herbs and give it a good mix.
  • Spread the garlic butter mixture over the slices of bread. Any leftover garlic butter can will keet for up to a week in the fridge.
    Freezer Garlic Bread
  • Place the slices on a baking tray and place in the freezer for around 90 minutes or until frozen solid.
  • Once frozen, place the slices of garlic bread either in a container or reusable freezer bag (or if neither of these is an option they can also be individually wrapped in cling film.
  •  To cook from frozen, bake in the oven for 20 minutes at 180 degrees Celcius. This will produce a lovely crisp garlic bread.
